WHY so much Gershwin you ask?

I grew up watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies and hearing them  (mostly Fred) croon those incredible songs which to me are unforgettable. My siblings and I used to stay up late on Friday nights to catch the already vintage RKO Picture classic where we were introduced to these Incredibles songs. As luck would have it I spent several years doing the George and Gershwin Broadway musical, “Crazy For You“ throughout the U.S. and Europe, playing the sassy role “Irene” sings the elegant tune “Naughty Baby” Ever since then, I’ve been obsessed with the Gershwin and was always longing to put together my own set of Gershwin tunes. Since that time I’ve performed my own Gershwin Cabaret “Rise Up Singing“ multiple times in 2024 next up February 8, 2025 for the final performance!  This  inspired me to record an album of those Gershwin tunes plus a few extra songs not as well known. I’m always thrilled and surprised when I sing such songs live like  “Someone To Watch Over Me “  and the teenage girls today are still in love with the lyrics and immediately whip out their iPhones to share this wonderful song. Gershwin tunes will forever live in the souls of music fans everywhere!
